Terms & Conditions
for the use of Pipegen
Version: 02.11.2026 (v2.0)
This English version is a translation provided for your convenience. The contract language is German; only the German version is legally binding and prevails in case of any difference.
1. Provider, scope
1.1These terms apply to the use of Pipegen (the website pipegen.app and the app) between you and Alexander Khrisna, Hermannstraße 4, 34117 Kassel, Germany (the provider, “we”). You will find further details in the imprint.
1.2Your own deviating terms apply only if we expressly agree to them.
1.3If you are under 18, you may only use Pipegen with the consent of your parents or legal guardians; this also applies to every paid purchase. Pipegen does not create explicit (pornographic) content for anyone (clause 9.2).
2. Conclusion of the contract, contract language, storage
2.1By registering, you conclude a free contract of use with us. To do so, you confirm these terms and, after entering your details, click “Create an account”.
2.2You order a subscription or a credit pack in the app (subscriptions on the plans page “Choose Your Plan” at pipegen.app/subscription, “Upgrade” in the profile menu; credit packs on the “Credits” page under “Buy Credits” at pipegen.app/credits/buy) by choosing an offer, entering your payment details in the payment window of our payment service provider Stripe and clicking its order button there (“Subscribe” for a subscription, “Pay” for a credit pack). Until then, you can correct your entries or cancel the process at any time. With the click, you make a binding offer; the contract is concluded when the payment is confirmed. You order a change to a higher plan on the plans page with the button “Upgrade and pay now”; the full monthly price of the new plan is charged immediately.
2.3The contract language is German. We store the text of the contract; you can retrieve and save these terms at any time at pipegen.app/terms. You receive the confirmation of the contract by email.
3. Services
3.1Pipegen lets you create images, videos, voices and 3D sets with AI models and organise them in projects such as pipelines and productions. The features included in your plan are listed on the plans page.
3.2Generation runs on models of external providers. The model catalog shows which models are available and what a generation costs.
3.3We may change Pipegen beyond what is needed to keep it in conformity with the contract if there is a valid reason, in particular if a model provider discontinues or changes a model, for reasons of security or of the legal situation, or to offer new features, and if this causes you no additional costs. We inform you clearly and comprehensibly. If a change impairs your access or the usability more than insignificantly, we inform you by email in good time beforehand about the characteristics and the date of the change and about your right to terminate the contract free of charge within 30 days.
3.4AI results are not fully predictable. We owe the provision of the platform and of the generation in accordance with the contract, not a particular artistic result. Your statutory rights in case of defects remain unaffected.
4. Account
4.1Your details must be correct. Keep your login details secret; the account is personal and not transferable.
4.2If there are concrete indications of misuse or a security incident, we may temporarily block your account, end sessions or ask for an additional confirmation, as far as this is necessary for protection. We inform you and give our reasons.
5. Prices and payment
5.1The prices shown before the order apply. All prices are final prices. No VAT is charged under § 19 UStG.
5.2Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions are charged at the beginning of each billing period. If a payment fails, we may block paid features until it is settled; the obligation to pay remains.
5.3We notify you of price changes for a running subscription at least 6 weeks in advance. They only apply if you agree. If you do not agree, your subscription continues at the previous price; we may then terminate it with one month’s notice to the end of a billing period.
5.4In the case of a chargeback for which you are responsible, you reimburse us for the fees actually incurred; you remain free to prove that no damage or less damage was incurred.
6. Term and cancellation of the subscription
6.1A subscription runs for one month and renews for a further month each time unless you cancel it before. You can cancel at any time to the end of the current period.
6.2You can cancel in the settings under “Billing”, with the button “Cancel contracts here” (in the footer of the website and under Settings → Billing, also without signing in: pipegen.app/cancel) or by email to info@pipegen.app. We confirm receipt of the cancellation to you immediately by email, stating the date, the time and when the contract ends.
6.3The right to terminate for good cause remains unaffected.
6.4You can end the free contract of use at any time by deleting your account; we can terminate it with four weeks’ notice and then refund unused purchased credits pro rata.
7. Right of withdrawal
7.1Right of withdrawal. Consumers have a right of withdrawal. The details are set out in the withdrawal policy with the model withdrawal form, which is linked next to the checkbox before every order. Before payment, you expressly request with a checkbox that is not preselected that we start immediately, and you confirm your knowledge of the compensation for value and of the expiry of the right; we confirm this to you by email after the payment. You can also withdraw with the button “Withdraw from contract here” (footer and Settings → Billing).
7.2Voluntary refund within 14 days. In addition to the right of withdrawal, we refund on request to info@pipegen.app every payment made no more than 14 days ago — the first subscription payment, every renewal and every credit pack, each counted from the day of that payment. We refund a credit pack in full as long as none of its credits has been used; we then take the credits of the pack back. Once a credit of the pack has been used, we do not refund it. We refund a subscription payment less the value of the plan credits of that payment you have already used; the value of a credit is the amount paid divided by the number of plan credits of that payment. We take back the remaining plan credits of that payment, and your subscription ends immediately. Which credits are used follows from the order in clause 8.4. The refund goes to the payment method you paid with. Your statutory rights, in particular the right of withdrawal, remain unaffected; so do your rights in the event of defects, for example if a generation fails (clauses 8.5, 8.6).
8. Credits
8.1Credits are units of account with which you use services of the platform (in particular generations). They are not money and not e-money, bear no interest and are not paid out; a claim to a refund exists only as far as these terms or the law provide for it. Credits belong to your account and are not transferable.
8.2Plan credits. For every paid billing period of your subscription, you receive the number of plan credits stated in the chosen plan. Plan credits are valid for two months from the day they are credited. After that, unused plan credits of that allocation expire without replacement. This way, you can still use unused plan credits of one month in the following month. You can see the next expiry date at any time on the “Credits” page.
8.3Purchased credits. Credits from credit packs as well as bonus and reward credits do not expire. They remain usable after your subscription ends, for as long as your account exists.
8.4Order of use. With every deduction, plan credits are used first, those expiring first; then bonus, reward and refunded credits, and credits from credit packs only last, the oldest pack first.
8.5Price per generation. We show you how many credits a generation costs before it starts. Credits are only deducted on success and never more than the price shown. We may adjust the credit prices of individual models or features for future generations if the costs of the model providers or the scope of the feature change; generations already started are not affected.
8.6Refunded credits. If credits are refunded (e.g. because a generation failed), we credit them back — first to a credit pack that has been started (the most recently bought first), then to the most recently credited plan allocation that is still valid, until whose expiry they are then valid. Whatever no pack and no allocation lacks any more stays with you without expiry.
8.7End of the subscription, refund, account deletion. If your subscription ends, you can continue to use remaining plan credits until their expiry date and purchased credits indefinitely. If a payment (subscription or credit pack) is refunded under clause 7.2 or in full, or finally charged back (your bank or card issuer reverses the payment and the dispute is closed), the credits of that payment not yet used lapse; if it is a subscription payment, your subscription ends immediately; if we otherwise refund part of it, they lapse in proportion to the amount refunded. If you delete your account, all credits lapse; before the deletion we point out any remaining balance to you. We do not refund unused credits when you delete your account; clause 7.2 and your statutory rights remain unaffected.
9. Content rules
9.1Your responsibility. You are responsible for prompts, uploads and the use of the results. You may only upload content for which you hold the necessary rights.
9.2Three levels for sexual content. Pipegen is a tool for films and series.
- Level 1 — cinematic: allowed with adult characters and with real persons who have consented (clause 10.1). Kisses, tenderness, intimacy and love scenes as they are common in series and films; swimwear, bikinis and lingerie, also in close-up; bare breasts and nudity from behind (bare buttocks); implied sex scenes — under the covers, by a cut or a fade.
- Level 2 — explicit/pornographic: prohibited. Visible genitals, sexual acts in detail (in particular penetration) and depictions in which the camera focuses on genitals.
- Level 3 — always prohibited, even where level 1 would otherwise be met: (a) any sexual or sexualised depiction of minors, including fictional, drawn or AI-generated characters, and any nudity of minors; (b) nudity and sexual or suggestive content with real persons who have not consented — in particular with celebrities or other real persons whom you name in the text instead of including them through an image with your statement “real person” and their consent.
9.3Minors as characters are allowed. Mentions of children, teenagers, school or family never lead to a block on their own. Non-sexual affection is expressly allowed — hugs, a kiss on the cheek or forehead, holding hands, cuddling with parents or siblings, comforting, playing — as in family and children’s films. Sexual abuse may be the subject of a story (implication, events off screen, consequences, coming to terms with it, investigation); its depiction is prohibited. If a character marked “under 18” is involved in a scene or minors are part of the scene, a stricter standard applies: then even a suggestive or erotically charged staging is prohibited, even where level 1 would otherwise be met — for example a close-up of their body in swimwear.
9.3aPublic content (Apps). If you publish an App, its title, description, tags, cover and example images are seen by all users of Pipegen, including minors. There, nudity and sexual or suggestive depictions are prohibited, even where level 1 would otherwise allow them; swimwear in everyday scenes is allowed. An App that we have made private after a report cannot be published again by you.
9.4Other prohibited content: content that depicts or calls for criminal offences, incitement to hatred, symbols of unconstitutional organisations, depictions of violence within the meaning of § 131 StGB (German Criminal Code), harassment, exposure and publication of private data, as well as content that infringes the rights of third parties (copyright, trademark and personality rights).
10. Real persons and labelling
10.1Images of real persons. You may only use images of recognisable persons if you hold the rights to the image and the person shown has consented — for minors, their legal guardians. We automatically check your own uploads for whether they show a face (without identifying the person). If you upload images into a character or an uploaded image shows a face, you state for that image whom it shows: a real person (you hold the rights and their consent) or an invented person (AI-generated, drawn or rendered, showing no person who really exists — neither a recognisable one nor a look-alike). Only then can you use the image for a generation. We store your statement with its time, kind and text version as evidence. Copies of your own Pipegen generations take over the statement of their generation.
10.1aFalse statements prohibited. You must not state that an image of a person who really exists shows an “invented person”. Such a false statement is a serious violation: we block your account and delete the content concerned (clause 12); claims of the person shown and our indemnification (clause 15) remain unaffected. You cannot change a “real person” statement to “invented” yourself; if it is wrong, contact us.
10.2Marking of characters. If a character depicts a person under 18, you must mark it as “under 18” when creating it or in the character. You cannot remove this mark yourself; if it was set by mistake, contact us. If a character contains an image stated as a “real person” or originating from a generation with a real person, we automatically mark the character as a “real person”. With it — as with invented adult characters — level 1 is allowed and level 2 prohibited; your statement “real person” confirms that the person shown has also consented to the kind of depiction you create (clause 10.1).
10.3No deception. You must not depict real persons in a way that deceives viewers and thereby harms the person’s reputation or rights.
10.4Disclosure of deepfakes. If you publish or distribute an image, video or audio created with Pipegen that appreciably resembles real persons, objects, places, entities or events and would falsely appear to be authentic (a “deepfake”), you must disclose that the content has been artificially generated or manipulated. If the content is part of an evidently artistic, creative, satirical or fictional work, an appropriate notice that does not hamper the display or enjoyment of the work is sufficient (e.g. in the credits or the description).
10.5Machine-readable marking. We mark generated content in a machine-readable way as AI-generated: every generated image, video and audio file receives a signed C2PA manifest when it is stored (“Content Credentials”: AI-generated, Pipegen, model, time, a pseudonymous generation ID — no prompt, no personal data), and JPEG and PNG images additionally the IPTC value “trainedAlgorithmicMedia” in their XMP metadata. On request, we add a visible “AI-generated” notice when you download an image. You must not remove or alter this marking.
11. Moderation and reports
11.1How we check (automated). To enforce the rules of clauses 9 and 10, we use automated tools:
- Requests: before every generation, a word filter checks your texts. If they contain signals that call for a closer check, an AI language model assesses the text; our system then decides according to fixed rules (clauses 9.2, 9.3), taking the marks “under 18” and “real person” into account.
- Results: we check every generated image and video with an image classifier before releasing it, videos by individual frames. Borderline cases are assessed by an AI model based on a few frames.
- Uploads: we check your own uploaded images for whether they show a face (clause 10.1).
- Publications: before an App is published, we check its cover and example images with the image classifier and, in borderline cases, an AI model according to clause 9.3a, and its title, description and tags with the word filter.
These decisions are made without prior review by a human. Rejected requests and results are logged; a human can review them afterwards and does so upon your objection (clause 11.5). We improve the tools when they decide wrongly. If a check is temporarily not possible, we do not run the generation for safety reasons. Reported content (clause 11.4) and objections are always reviewed by a human.
11.2Consequences. If a request or a result violates these rules or the check cannot be carried out, we do not run the generation or do not release the result; you are not charged any credits for it. We do not keep a blocked result. We look into repeated violations; there is no automatic blocking of the account. We may block or remove stored content and, depending on the severity, apply clause 12.
11.3Statement of reasons. If we block or remove content or restrict your account, we tell you with a statement of reasons: which measure, which facts, whether the decision was automated, which rule or provision we rely on, and which remedies you have.
11.4Reporting. Anyone can report content to us that they consider illegal or in breach of the rules, through the reporting form at pipegen.app/report (no account needed) or by email to info@pipegen.app. We confirm receipt, review the report diligently and objectively and inform you of the result.
11.5Remedies. You can object to a decision — including an automated rejection — by email to info@pipegen.app or by replying to our statement-of-reasons email; a human then reviews it again. Recourse to the courts remains unaffected.
11.6We forward indications of depictions of child sexual abuse and of serious criminal offences to the competent authorities.
12. Blocking, termination for good cause, deletion
12.1If these terms are violated, we take the mildest effective measure: a notice, removal of the content, a temporary restriction, a block. A human decides on restrictions of the account. In the case of serious violations — in particular under clause 9.2 level 3, fraud or passing on the account — we may terminate the contract for good cause without prior warning and block the account.
12.2If we terminate for good cause for which you are responsible (e.g. a serious breach of these terms), your unused credits lapse without refund; claims for any further damage remain unaffected.
12.3After the contract ends, we delete your account and your content; statutory retention obligations and the preservation of evidence in the cases of clause 11.6 remain unaffected. Until then, you can export your data.
13. Rights to content
13.1We claim no rights to your prompts, uploads and results. Whether copyright arises in a result is governed by the law; purely machine-generated content is generally not protected. You may use the results — also commercially — as far as no rights of third parties or terms of use of the model providers stand in the way. These terms in particular forbid using results to train competing AI models or passing them off as made by humans; you may not remove or falsify the AI marking of the results (Content Credentials/C2PA, embedded watermarks).
13.2You grant us the simple right, limited to the term of the contract, to store and process your content and to transmit it to the model providers as far as this is necessary to provide the services. We only use your content for advertising with your separate consent.
14. Liability
14.1We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for damage resulting from injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act and as far as we have given a guarantee.
14.2In the case of slight negligence, we are only liable for the breach of a material contractual obligation — an obligation whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely — and limited to the damage that is typical for the contract and foreseeable.
14.3Beyond that, liability is excluded. Your rights in case of defects of digital products (§§ 327i et seq. BGB) remain unaffected.
15. Indemnification
If you culpably infringe the rights of third parties or these terms, you indemnify us against the resulting claims of third parties, including reasonable costs of legal defence.
16. Availability
We strive for high availability. We announce maintenance in advance where possible. Disruptions at model providers or events beyond our control may temporarily prevent generation; your rights under clause 14 and §§ 327i et seq. BGB remain unaffected.
17. Changes to these terms
We notify you of changes to these terms in good time beforehand. They only take effect if you agree to them — e.g. when you next sign in. If you do not agree, the previous terms continue to apply; we can then terminate the contract with ordinary notice under clause 6.4 or to the end of the subscription period.
18. Dispute resolution, applicable law, place of jurisdiction
18.1We do not take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
18.2German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer with your habitual residence in another country, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of that country remain unaffected.
18.3If you are a merchant, the place of jurisdiction is Kassel.
18.4If a provision is invalid, the rest of the contract remains valid; the statutory provision applies.
